This position is with Alden Kinsley PLLC, a separate attorney-owned law firm and the hiring or engaging entity. For Alden Kinsley PLLC recruiting, RMS may provide sourcing, threshold screening, scheduling, and verification administration. Alden Kinsley PLLC alone decides professional competence, conflicts, engagement, supervision, invoice approval, payment, and tax reporting.

Alden Kinsley PLLC, the current Virginia attorney-owned law firm handling business and commercial disputes, is seeking a senior litigation paralegal on a contract basis. You draft demand letters, motions, proposed orders, and substantive correspondence; research business and commercial disputes; and support the firm's attorneys as directed. The role is fully remote (virtual office). AI research platforms are a force multiplier you wield — never a substitute for your own analysis.

Responsibilities: - Draft demand letters, motions, proposed orders, and substantive correspondence - Conduct legal and factual research across complex litigation matters, including Westlaw, LexisNexis, and court records - Work fluently across Virginia state and federal court systems, including filing procedures and local practice - Engage directly with the firm's attorneys and with opposing counsel's offices, taking the lead on matters as directed - Manage multiple matters and deadlines independently in a fully remote, distributed practice

Qualifications: - Extensive litigation-paralegal experience with a demonstrated record of drafting motions, proposed orders, and demand letters - Strong familiarity with Virginia law and Virginia state and federal court procedures - Proficiency with AI-powered research platforms (Thomson Reuters CoCounsel, Anthropic Claude, or similar), with the judgment to verify every output - Exceptional analytical and critical-thinking ability — work product grounded in your own knowledge, never in unverified AI output - Self-directed in a virtual-office environment; able to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently

Compensation: Approximately $60 per hour, commensurate with experience. This is an independent-contractor (1099) engagement in a fully remote, virtual-office practice.
