The four paths are: form and own a new firm while evaluating shared business infrastructure; evaluate defined business services for an existing attorney-owned firm; practice within an existing attorney-owned firm rather than own the entity; or continue selecting and managing every business system directly.
Every path requires its own diligence. Confirm applicable professional rules, entity and ownership requirements, data and confidentiality controls, advertising responsibilities, fee terms, transition obligations, and the actual division of legal and business authority.
